I have been fortunate to know Terese for over 20 years, from friendship, to teaching, to mentoring, to leading.  Many of these moments have been life changing for me.   I have watched her loyalty, wisdom and discernment in action. I have seen hard moments in each of our lives and seen how her first place to turn is to pray and ask for God’s guidance.  I couldn’t be more thankful for her friendship and if you find yourself in her circle, I would call yourself lucky!

Terese and I met on WordPress when I started blogging. Blogging was an outlet for me to capture what wonderful things God has done in the wake of a traumatic motorcycle accident.

Terese read my blogs and allowed me to publish some of my writings in NorCal Christian Voice Magazine.

She was a great editor and did a wonderful job for the magazine, but more importantly, she saw the human need at the time and gave me the chance to share my story.

I’ll always be grateful for this.

I have known Terese for 20 + years. I used to see her around the neighborhood in which i used to live when my sister used to hang out with her daughter. My sister would go to church with their family. At the time, I was married, living with my mother and step father and I was kind of in my own world. I was trying to figure out my marriage as it was falling apart. Fast forward, to about 2015, I went to a church in town and Thank God my path crossed with Terese again. Going to church was fairly new for me and awkward ; I felt a bit out of place but Terese made it more comfortable for me. She greeted me with her smile and said hello and that’s where our friendship began. I have always struggled in life. With relationships, depression, shame, fear and anxiety. Terese has always been willing to walk along side me through those struggles with open arms, love and kindness. I lost touch with Terese for a while but when we reconnected, it was as if time had never passed and once again, she showed up for me. I always looked up to Terese as she is a mentor to me. I love how she is humble, honest, loyal and full of love for Jesus. She has a gift of mentorship and ministry to women and I absolutely feel blessed to be a part of her life. Terese has a way of bringing me back to Jesus when I have drifted and let life take over. I look forward to our time spent together having coffee, enjoying a meal and bible study with other women. I always walk away feeling empowered in some way shape or form and I mean that. I am truly blessed to have this soul in my life!

Terese shared The Bible in 52 Weeks several months ago and I jumped right on it — ordered the book for both me and my husband.

I was pregnant at the time and after I had my baby, the book sat on the shelf for a little while. But right before the baby arrived, my church family came to visit and saw the book — and they were all so interested in it.

Now, I’m doing five days a week on FaceTime with two other girls, reading through it together. My husband is going through it with five other men. And a friend of mine started a group of four women back home in Vegas — all doing the book too.

All of this happened because she shared a post on Facebook. You never know what seeds are being planted, and I want everyone who reads this to know the ones she planted — and how God made them grow

God used the seed Terese laid to cause twelve people to read the Bible! We love the book; it’s so good! I am thankful for her obedience and posting about it!

I met Terese at a writer’s conference in 2018. What I didn’t know then was that this friendship would stay steady as we both grew in what Christ was birthing in and through us. Terese’s heart for women’s ministry and the call to bring women to the heart of the Father is driven by a hunger I see few women in the Christian faith have. I am happy to call her friend, but even more I am happy to run this race with her as a sister in Christ. If you are looking for a bible study “leader”, a woman to speak at your next event or a trusted mentor that biblically points you to Jesus, I believe Terese is who you need!

Fifteen years ago, as I stood worshipping in church, I heard Holy Spirit whisper to me, “Do you see that lady 2 rows in front of you lifting her arms in worship? I want you to pray what she is praying.”

“But, I have no idea what she is praying! Should I leave my seat and go ask her?”

“No,” He said. I know what she is praying and that is enough.”

So I began to pray, “Lord, whatever this woman is praying. That is what I am praying.”

This was the beginning of an enduring friendship based on our common love of Jesus and common call to prayer.  My heart had been hoping and longing for a friend and soul sister, and Terese proved to be just that!

Over the years I have found Terese to be an open, transparent and trustworthy friend who loves Jesus and his Word.  She is a compassionate listener and a strong help and ally in all circumstances.

Professionally, she is always prepared, always learning, always ready to carefully consider other viewpoints. She has proven herself to be a champion of grace.
