Who are the others you might stoop to help? Neighbors, friends, the unhoused, others who may live a different lifestyle than you, or look different than you?
Is there anything that scares you about stooping down to help? If so, what? If we are the Church, our hands should be reaching, our feet should be walking, our hearts should be breaking for what breaks God’s heart.
We are commanded:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20.
Are you aligning yourself with the commands of Jesus, or do you allow your theological ideology to determine who you stoop to help?
May we all be led by the fruit of the Spirit.
